Abstract
<jats:p>Abstract Anthology of Prose, Poetry and Fiction: English Course Book for Undergraduate Learners: Part I & II* is a structured academic course book designed to strengthen undergraduate learners’ proficiency in English through selected prose, poetry, fiction, grammar and language development activities. The book uses literature as a foundation for developing reading comprehension, vocabulary, written communication, speaking skills and critical appreciation. It introduces learners to major literary selections such as *Spoken English and Broken English*, *On Saying Please*, *Ode to Autumn*, *A Psalm of Life*, *Where the Mind Is Without Fear*, *Girls*, *Shyness My Shield*, *Good Manners*, *The Solitary Reaper*, *Mirror*, *Curious Mishaps* and *When You Dread Failure*. Each unit is supported by pre-reading activities, author introductions, summaries, glossaries, comprehension questions and language-based exercises. The course book is learner-friendly and classroom-oriented, making it useful for undergraduate students, English teachers, autonomous colleges and academic libraries.
