Abstract
“Problems of Critiques of Science” by Friedrich Rapp (German language)
Friedrich Rapp analyzes the premises and limits of critiques of science. Critique is not external to science; it belongs to science’s methodical self-correction. At the same time, critique requires standards, engagement with the subject, and an institutional perspective. For the history of science, Rapp problematizes victor narratives, historical selection, and retrospective ordering. Between knowledge and application, responsibility remains an ethical, political, and social question.
