Abstract
We wish to convey our sincere gratitude to the Centre for Scientific Research of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Kragujevac for its invaluable support and cooperation in the publication of the volume Ars Praehistorica. This scholarly collection, dedicated to the distinguished Academician Nikola Tasić, stands as a fitting tribute to his immense and lasting contribution to the field of archaeology. The professional assistance provided by this institution was instrumental, and we look forward to the prospect of our future academic partnerships. Academician Nikola Tasić served as the Head of the SASA Center in Kragujevac from 1997 to 2010, succeeding Dragoslav Srejović. His distinguished reputation and institutional influence significantly affirmed the Center’s standing within both the Academy and the University. Tasić’s tenure was marked by the establishment of the Dragoslav Srejović Memorial and a prolific publishing output of 35 works. Critically, he provided vital support for the Bioengineering Program, which secured institutional stability in 2005 and evolved into the independent BioIRC in 2010. As the Center’s longest-serving director, Tasić was instrumental in transforming it into a vital hub for multidisciplinary research and international cooperation.
