The conference papers seek answers to different questions related to motherhood and reproductive rights in a variety of sources, ranging from court records to oral testimonies, and across a broad chronological spectrum, from the eighteenth century to the present. They also address diverse geographical settings, from Slovenian context to, for instance, the Ottoman Empire and India.</jats:p>
