Abstract
<jats:p>The software to industrial and mechanical design in the metallic industry is very relevant to determine the productivity and quality indices of any industrial company, specially in this type of industry at the worldwide. For this reason, an investigation was made in an metallic industry located in the Mexicali city, whre was evaluated the benchmarks optimization action, and the use of specialized softwares as AutoCad, BricsCAD Ultimate 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp and SolidWorks. The results indicates that the use of this specialized softwares can supports to avoid the presence of defects in the subprpoducts or final products manufactured in this metallic industry, whereawas made this sicneitif study. The CAD/CAM software were efficient in the design of metallic pieces and parts of the products fabricated, and was correlated with the educative courses with technological educative tools, which were analyzed to applied in metallic industry evaluated to increade the producitivty and quality indices, and evaluation of the benchmarks with other metallic industries of this industrial city.</jats:p>
