Abstract

<jats:p>Besides fulfilling its preceding objectives through AI-oriented tutoring techniques, multifarious chatbots have been introduced to assist students with their academic assignments. This qualitative review has been performed to answer whether the integration of artificial intelligence in education is a blessing or a curse for students' academic integrity, as not everyone is a wise user of innovation. The findings state that AI education techniques have both optimistic and pessimistic impacts on students' academic integrity. Whether a student will adopt unfair means entirely depends on cognitive abilities and behavioral components. The future might be jeopardized if such practices persist, which creates doubts and prognostication about the ample scope of malpractices in the educational community. Thus, this chapter aims to make academicians and future researchers aware of the perception and consequences of academic integrity in the presence of AI learning modules.</jats:p>
