Abstract
The objective of this chapter is to analyze the evolution, structure, and future directions of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in relation to Human Resources (HR) through bibliometric and thematic analysis of 96 documents published during the last 30 years (1993–2024). Results show the development of HCI in HR as a collaborative and interdisciplinary research area. The field shows a co-authorship average of 3.44 and a co-authorship index of 3.55, indicating engagement with computer science, psychology, organizational behavior, and human resource management. Although research output and number of researchers remain limited, activity has increased after 2015 with an average citation of 24.2. However, international collaboration remains low, with only 5.21% of documents including foreign authors. Major journals such as Computers in Human Behavior and International Journal of Medical Informatics and authors such as Chen D and Johnson C play an important role. Dominant themes include Artificial Intelligence, Human Factors, and HCI, while virtual teams and HR emerge in digital workplaces.
