Abstract
This study explored how science pre-service teachers use AI tools during practice teaching. The result of the survey and interview with 32 science pre-service teachers showed AI tools are used in lesson planning, understanding content, creating instructional materials, and constructing assessments. Popular and useful AI tools include ChatGPT, Cici, Quillbot, Grammarly, and Gemini because of their diverse capabilities. The findings reflect a growing recognition of AI as a valuable teaching aid that enhances efficiency, content delivery, and teacher confidence. However, the findings highlight the imperative for teacher education programs to adapt to the emerging significance of AI technology as a valuable tool in instructional practice.
