Abstract
<jats:p>The accelerated development of financial technology (fintech) has revolutionized conventional financial services in a profound way, propelling unprecedented innovation in most sectors. This paper examines the complex role of fintech in stimulating growth, improving efficiency, and advancing financial inclusion. By conducting a literature review, the research integrates existing academic and industry views on the evolution and spread of fintech solutions. In addition, it examines the sectoral effect of fintech, pointing to its effect on banking, insurance, investment, and more. The paper also explores how fintech serves as an innovation catalyst by facilitating nimble business models, tapping into new technologies like blockchain, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, and creating a competitive environment. The results highlight fintech's central role in the future of finance and provide insights for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers who seek to understand and leverage its potential for transformation.</jats:p>
