Abstract
<jats:p>The chapter explores the potential of insect protein as a sustainable and halal-compliant food source. The aim of this study is to examine Shariah rulings (hukm) and address insect protein processing techniques to ensure food safety and enhance their nutritional value, with the ultimate goal of formulating halal guidelines tailored to insect protein enterprises. This guideline offers significant opportunities for economic growth and food security. In this study, we employ documentation, data analysis, and literature search.</jats:p>
