Abstract
<jats:p>This study aims to summarize the effects of the triple transformation on the labor markets in Turkey and Izmir from the perspective of education and skills mismatch, and to analyze the different age groups affected by the triple transformation separately. According to the findings of the study, the opportunities created by the digital and green transformation vary regionally. In particular, Izmir, with its higher share of digital and green employment compared to the Turkish average, indicates that the potential for value creation from the transformation may be relatively strong. At the same time, although the education and skills mismatch is not low, Izmir is similarly below the Turkish average. Izmir holds great potential for the future.</jats:p>
