Abstract
This article explores the transformative potential of Metaverse technologies in building sustainable and resilient blood supply chains. By integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), the Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, UAVs (drones), and Digital Twins, it proposes a unified digital framework for intelligent blood logistics. The approach enables real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, immersive training, and decentralized coordination to improve cold chain compliance, minimize waste, and enhance emergency responsiveness. Case studies from Rwanda, Germany, and China demonstrate practical feasibility and scalability. Ethical, legal, and cybersecurity challenges are critically examined, and a phased implementation roadmap is proposed. The article concludes with strategic recommendations for inclusive, globally scalable deployment of AI-driven, environmentally responsible medical supply chains.
