Abstract

<jats:p>The author approaches family businesses from an ethnological perspective as cultural and social fields of research. The interest is directed at micro and small family companies in Bulgaria from various economic spheres, established in the 1990s and continuing their activities. The importance of kinship relations in the processes of establishment and development of family businesses as well as the social consequences for the family and entrepreneurship of the interweaving of kinship and business ties are presented. The mechanisms for building labor relations in the work environment are studied and the characteristic features and dynamics of the development of these relations over the years are presented. The research thesis is that the socio-cultural aspects of business organizations can be understood and analyzed only by taking into account not only the political and economic conditions, but also the impact of social relations and cultural models present in society in a certain period of its historical development.</jats:p>
