Abstract
<jats:p>Kadınların hakları ve bu haklar çerçevesinde kadınlara sunulan hizmetler yasal mevzuat çerçevesinde oluşturulmaktadır. Bu bağlamda bir yandan sosyal hizmetler alanındaki çalışmaların çerçevesini oluşturması nedeniyle kadın alanındaki uluslararası ve ulusal mevzuatı bilmek önemliyken, bir yandan da sosyal hizmet bakış açısıyla toplumsal değişmeye paralel olarak ortaya çıkan yeni sorun ve ihtiyaçları tespit ederek bu ihtiyaçlar doğrultusunda mevzuatta değişim yaratmak bu alanda çalışan meslek profesyonellerinin öncelikli görevleri arasında yer alır. Bu bağlamda sosyal hizmet uzmanları başta olmak üzere kadınlarla çalışan tüm meslek profesyonellerinin ihtiyaç duyacağı temel bilgi mevzuat bilgisidir. Bu ihtiyaçtan hareketle bu bölümle kadın alanı ile ilgili uluslararası ve ulusal mevzuat gözden geçirilerek bu alanda çalışanlar için güncel bir çerçeve oluşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Women's rights and the services provided to women within the framework of these rights are established within the legal framework. In this context, while it is important to be familiar with national legislation in the field of women's issues, as it forms the framework for work in the field of social services, it is also one of the primary tasks of professionals working in this field to identify new problems and needs that arise in parallel with social change from a social work perspective and to bring about changes in legislation in line with these needs. Knowledge of legislation is essential for all professionals working in the field of social services, particularly social workers. Based on this need, this chapter reviews international and national legislation relating to women's issues and attempts to establish an up-to-date framework for those working in this field.</jats:p>
