Abstract
<jats:p>The article examines the role of the cultural and linguistic intuition development of students. Various approaches to the definition of cultural and linguistic intuition are analyzed, on the basis of which their own is proposed. Special attention is paid to the structural components of cultural and linguistic intuition (emotional, motivational, cognitive and technological) and their role in the development of the ability. Based on the material of metaphors from the English-language psychological media, the potential of their use for the cultural and linguistic intuition development of students according to the selected parameters is revealed.</jats:p>
