Abstract

The article examines the procedure for receiving pension accruals by the legal successors of a deceased insured person in Russia, which currently excludes the application of inheritance law provisions. The authors come to the conclusion that the claims of the legal successors have private-law nature and that legislative changes based on the analogy of the norms on the transfer of rights to receive an insured sum under a personal insurance contract in the event of the death of the insured person, as well as extending the rules on inheritance to the receiving the funds of pension accruals by legal successors of a deceased insured person, are needed.
