Abstract
<jats:p>The article analyses modern legal issues of limiting employer control over an employee using digital technologies. The issues of algorithmic (neural network) control, AI systems in processing personal data of employed citizens and employees are touched upon. The author examines the legal aspects of the problem of employers’ interference in the private life of employees using modern digital technologies. The legal and ethical aspects of the use of matching technology by employers to collect information about employees are touched upon. Innovations in the legislation of Russia and the European Union on the use and limitation of algorithmic control over the behaviour of employees and platform employees in the process of labour activity are analysed. Based on the analysis of scientific developments of domestic and foreign legal scholars, the norms of Russian and foreign legislation, judicial practice on labour disputes, the author formulates recommendations and proposals for solving this problem in the legislation of the Russian Federation in order to prevent unjustified interference of the employer in the private life of the employee.</jats:p>
