Abstract
This research analyzes the international terminology of sustainable agricultural land use: an institutional and economic analysis, as modern agricultural land use requires a unified terminological framework that combines socio-legal, natural resource, and institutional and economic development strategies. A comparative review of the terminology used in FAO, UN, UNCCD, and institutional economic methodology has been conducted. It is presented that the land is considered, not only from the position of a natural resource, but also as an institutional asset — the object of rights, contracts, incentives and management. An integrated model of the terminology of sustainable land use is formed, covering regulatory, ecological-resource and institutional segments.
