Abstract

<jats:p>The article clarifies the role of the indicator system in the process of assessing the quality of library services of public libraries. The features of indicators for assessing the effectiveness of remote user service are outlined. It is proposed to expand the system of quantitative and qualitative indicators, which is due to the processes of digital transformation. It is stated that the use of the indicator system in libraries makes it possible to improve the quality of services, optimize work processes, develop and implement new formats of user service, focusing on their real needs, support strategic planning and effective management. It is emphasized that a qualitatively formed indicator system enhances the transparency and accountability of library work, strengthens the trust of users and partners. It is concluded that the results of the assessment make it possible to timely identify aspects of work that require improvement and make sound management decisions. System analysis of efficiency makes it possible to substantiate the need for investments in the development and modernization of the library infrastructure.</jats:p>
