Abstract
<jats:p xml:lang="en">This volume offers the first comprehensive study and critical edition of the Old Church Slavonic Office for Saint Wenceslas, a unique liturgical monument preserved exclusively in East Slavic manuscripts. Through a historical-hagiographical, philological, and linguistic approach, the work situates this liturgical text within Slavia Christiana and the political and religious transformations of medieval Europe, highlighting the supra-national character of the Church Slavonic tradition and the complex circulation of texts in the Slavic world. The analysis of the manuscript tradition and the linguistic stratification of the Office accompanies the presentation of a critically established text with apparatus, commentary, Greek parallels, modern Church Slavonic text and an Italian translation.</jats:p>
