Abstract
<jats:p>In modern economies, attention is given to the importance of entrepreneurship. Nowadays, start-up ventures are a form of entrepreneurship. Start-ups are distinguished from traditional new businesses by a number of characteristics, in particular, the originality of their activities, the higher risk of failure, as well as their ability to grow rapidly and earn a significant return on investment. They have a significant yet complex impact on both economic and social life. The cognitive purpose of the study is to systematize existing knowledge in the area of start-up ventures. To this end, a systematic review of the literature on start-up topics was carried out. The presentation of the results of the literature analysis conducted by the desk research method is intended to prepare theoretically for the second stage of empirical research.</jats:p>
