Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of fire hazard indicators of building materials - banana tree leaves, used by residents of rural settlements of Vietnam's provinces for the construction of roofs of residential buildings. Until now, the studied indicators were absent in the databases, in this regard, there is a problem of studying the features of the development of fires in residential buildings of high fire hazard, located in rural settlements of Vietnam. It is important to note that at the current stage of life, the population of the Socialist Republic is growing, and the number of people living in rural areas is increasing from year to year. Today, about 62 million people live in rural areas, which is 63 percent of the country's total population. The relevance of the work lies in the need to improve the fire safety of rural settlements due to their mass development with residential buildings that are highly flammable. Fires in rural settlements are characterized by rapid spread of fire through residential buildings and are often widespread. The determination of the fire hazard indicators of banana tree leaves is necessary for conducting mathematical modeling of the development of a fire at the above-mentioned protection facilities, which can result in the acquisition of data on the concentration of hazardous substances that affect the timely evacuation of residents, the heat flux intensity of a burning structure, in order to prepare subsequent recommendations for establishing fire-resistant distances between residential buildings, the placement of fire-resistant barriers that limit the spread of fires, and the prediction of the toxicological situation.
