Abstract
Today, as the securities market plays an increasingly significant role in modern society, studying its terminology becomes necessary, as it interacts with general literary language vocabulary, thereby exerting a certain influence on it. This article examines the emergence and development of certain terms of the French securities market at different stages of its formation, as well as analyzes the impact of extralinguistic factors on their formation, which is due to the interconnection between language and cognitive activity. Three main stages of securities market development are identified and analyzed, along with their features and the methods of term formation used at each stage. The article identifies trends in the further development of French securities market terminology, paying special attention to socio-economic factors that influenced its formation. The analysis reveals that French stock market terminology combines a traditional lexical base with intensive borrowings from English in recent decades, reflecting the globalization of financial processes.
