Abstract
<jats:p>This paper deals with the operations of the State Stud Farm Administration, presented in a report compiled in late 1888 by the Administration. The presented report also refers to an earlier period, starting from 1854. Data relating to the period up to 1888 contain fewer details. Based on this report, it is possible to reconstruct the assets and various areas of work of the State Stud Farm Administration in Ljubičevo and Dobričevo, such as the number of stallions, privately owned mares covered, the distribution of stallions by district, types of horses by age and sex, the number of cattle, the types and condition of the farm’s properties and income derived from them, the quantity of agricultural crops produced and consumed, and the budget funds received and spent. Most data are provided for the year 1888 and the previous ten years, while data for the earlier period, as already noted, are more scarce.</jats:p>
