Abstract
Based on generalizing published data, the article considers the chronology and results of the 20th century's acclimatization of Kamchatka's salmonid fishes in other regions and that of the Atka mackerel from the Pacific Kamchatka waters in the Barents Sea, as well as the introduction of the kokanee into Kamchatka's lakes, some of them with no ichthyofauna of their own. It has been shown that, despite the efforts made, almost all acclimatization work failed, and the goal intended, i. e. the creation of selfreproducing fish population groups of further commercial value, was not achieved.
