Abstract

<jats:p>The article discusses the theoretical, methodological and practical foundations of the formation of a sustainable interest of secondary school students in the Republic of Kazakhstan to systematic physical exercise. Based on the analysis of modern research by Kazakhstani and foreign authors in the field of motivation for physical activity, school physical education and the theory of self-determination, the content of the concept of "interest in systematic physical exercise" is clarified and its structural components are highlighted. A model of pedagogical conditions is described, taking into account the age characteristics of students in grades 5-9, the national and cultural context and the influence of the social environment. The methodology and results of an empirical study conducted on the basis of a comprehensive school are presented, confirming the effectiveness of a set of pedagogical conditions aimed at developing interest in systematic physical exercise.</jats:p>
