Abstract
This article explores the ways, methods, and pedagogical conditions for developing children's interest in reading books. In the modern digital age, many children are increasingly engaged with technology, resulting in a declining interest in reading. Therefore, parents, teachers, and educators face the important task of fostering a love for books, shaping reading culture, and motivating children to enjoy literature. The main goal of the study is to identify effective strategies for developing a stable interest in reading among children. The practical significance lies in offering teaching techniques that include selecting age-appropriate books, integrating play-based and discussion activities, and creating positive motivation for reading. The study also highlights the importance of family reading traditions and the active role of school libraries in promoting reading habits. Examples of how reading contributes to a child's moral, aesthetic, and intellectual development are analyzed. The material provides practical recommendations that can be applied by educators, caregivers, and parents to nurture a lifelong reading interest in children.
