Abstract
The problem of socialization of adolescents with intellectual disabilities in social and everyday orientation classes is relevant both in special education and in social adaptation in general. Socialization of adolescents with intellectual disabilities in social and everyday orientation classes is a complex but extremely important process. Success depends on pedagogical flexibility, the use of various pedagogical means of socialization, support from society and the creation of learning conditions that are as close to life as possible. This contributes to the formation of skills necessary for independent living, integration into society and improving the quality of life of these adolescents. The course of social and everyday orientation is aimed at basic adaptation, rehabilitation and socialization, which involves students with intellectual disabilities acquiring knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure personal independence at school, in the family circle, society, etc. This is achieved primarily through teaching children rational techniques and methods of social and everyday orientation, taking into account the characteristics of each child and the specific disorder.
