Abstract
<jats:p>This article highlights the importance of mathematical education in school and preschool educational institutions. A brief analysis of research on the formation of simple mathematical concepts in preschool children is presented. The problem of forming simple mathematical concepts in combination with national values and ethnocultural traditions of the Kyrgyz people is considered. Definitions are given for the words «ethnos», «people», «culture». In accordance with the «Concept for the Development of Education in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2021- 2030», the necessity of combining globalization with national values in education is emphasized, as national values are at risk of disappearing during globalization. Therefore, the article shows the importance of preserving and strengthening national values and ethnocultural traditions. The pedagogical conditions for the formation of simple mathematical concepts in combination with elements of ethnocultural traditions of the Kyrgyz people are identified and analyzed.</jats:p>
