Abstract

<jats:p>This article reflects that the Central Asian states' long-term agreement on goodneighborliness, friendship and cooperation is primarily aimed at proclaiming the basic principles of maintaining peace and security in the region. They also express their readiness to develop cooperation in almost all areas of activity, such as economy, trade, finance, ecology, industry, legislation, agriculture, energy, transport, information, telecommunications, aviation, space, culture, art, education, science. All integration processes are aimed at best satisfying national interests. In the conditions of the formation of common cultural ties of the Central Asian states - an important component of interstate relations - is becoming a priority. According to the author, important projects in the Central Asian space are forums for the creative and scientific intelligentsia of the member states. Also of particular importance are the interstate program "Cultural Centers of the Commonwealth", branch universities, interstate awards "Stars of the Commonwealth" and "Commonwealth Debut", the Eurasian Film Academy. Thus, interstate relations between the countries of Central Asia develop on the basis of the historical and cultural commonality of peoples. Each state and society is formed according to its own model, which determines the forms of their international cooperation in the conditions of globalization. As a result, the author notes that the priority task of cultural policies is to open up the mutually beneficial potential of cooperation between peoples.</jats:p>
