Abstract

During listening comprehension, the content of the text should not be unfamiliar to the listener; rather, it should be partially familiar. In the process of listening, the text serves as one of the main means of language learning or determining language proficiency. Listening practice also directly influences the accuracy of subtest tasks. Listening comprehension involves a complex process of perception and understanding of the text. When preparing the text, the listener's point of view, age, language proficiency level, thinking and perception, as well as stages of understanding (level of understanding - words, phrases, sentences, overall content of the text, details of the text, emotionally valuable information, motivationintentional information) should be taken into account and distinguished. Additionally, in pre-text work, it is necessary to give meaning to new words and prepare icebreakers aimed at their use in speech.
