Abstract
This book employs empirical methods to examine the chronological periods of philosophers' lives and the authenticity of their works, while systematically delineating the historical evolutionary trajectories of schools of thought such as Confucianism, Mohism, Taoism, and Legalism. Structured by the developmental phases of these schools, the volume comprises thematic sections including an introduction, the origins of philosophy, monographic studies on the Hundred Schools of Thought, and appendices. It adopts an egalitarian perspective to appraise the doctrines of various thinkers, and elucidates the sequential evolution of ideological systems by juxtaposing their respective historical contexts.
