Abstract

This volume brings together practical experiences in incorporating a gender perspective into teaching in university classrooms. Conceived with a clear pedagogical purpose, the book seeks to share ideas, reflections, experiences and knowledge contributed by different members of the teaching staff. These contributions are accompanied by a review of materials and of the approaches developed by specialist scholars in the field. The book consists of twelve chapters covering a range of thematic areas, including health sciences, humanities, communication and social sciences. It describes activities designed to foster spaces for debate and critical reflection among students, and offers examples of good practices that can serve as models for effectively integrating a gender perspective into teaching from an intersectional approach. The aim is to incorporate the gender perspective not only into the content delivered in the classroom, but also into the methodologies and language used in the teaching process. Publication promoted by the Teaching Innovation Network on Gender Perspective of the University of Girona.
