Abstract

The monograph examines the modeling of the interface and current directions of the evolutionary development of the transport and transit systems (TTS) of Russia and Greater Eurasia, the state and prospects of exporting transport services and the issues of filling the innovative industrial belts of trade routes passing through Euro-Asian land routes. Special attention is paid to measures to reconstruct and increase the throughput and carrying capacity of key transport arteries – the Trans-Siberian Railway and the Baikal-Amur Mainline, the importance of which has increased dramatically after the introduction of state and corporate economic sanctions by the collective West and retaliatory Russian sanctions. The formation of full-fledged innovation and industrial belts of Russian trade routes is complicated by the low competitive advantages of the national production of rolling stock and containers, primarily universal and specialized containers, as well as the presence of various types of imbalances in the transportation process. The results of the analysis of the problems of functioning of the Northern Sea Route as an infrastructural basis for export-import and transit transportation of goods, sustainable socio-economic development of the Arctic zone of Russia are presented. The problems and ways of increasing the efficiency of cross-border cargo transportation, reducing transaction costs and transit risks during the implementation of control procedures at border crossings are considered. The main conclusion was the reasoned statement that the current state of the Russian TTS does not contribute to the accelerated development of transit cargo transportation along the Asia–Europe route by rail, road and sea, and the achievement of the targets set by the President of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the transit importance of the Northern Corridor of the Trans–Asian Railway, one of the main infrastructure foundations for the Revival of Central Asia, is increasing. The way out is to achieve closer integration of the Russian TTS with the communication routes of the EAEU member states, friendly and neutral states of Greater Eurasia and the Global South through the introduction and scaling of breakthrough and disruptive technologies of the transportation process with an emphasis on its automation, robotics and digital transformation. The organizational and institutional basis for the long-term development of the country's TTS should be the creation in Greater Eurasia of its own or joint centers for the consolidation and distribution of cargo flows, warehouses, communications routes, entry into the capital of ports, the construction of terminals, taking into account the specifics of doing business in the countries of presence and the terms of interstate agreements.
