Abstract
<jats:p>The article, on the basis of analysis of archival materials, reveals contribution of the All-Union Research Institute for Penicillin and Other Antibiotics to development of modern technology for production of penicillin. The factors that allowed the Institute to improve key stage of production process in short period of time, despite deficiency of manpower and other resources were studied. The causes of exclusion of information about the Institute and its work on penicillin from the text of the Decree on the Stalin Prize of 1950 and from the information space in general are considered.</jats:p>
