Abstract

This work analyses and summarises the technological features of assembling flaps on transport aircraft, as well as identifying the main areas for improvement in assembly processes. An analysis of the design features of transport aircraft flaps, the formation of technological requirements for their assembly, a review of a typical technological assembly process, and an assessment of the problems and prospects for the development of this branch of aviation production are carried out. Strict requirements for accuracy are imposed on the design and assembly of flaps, which are regulated by design documentation and industry standards. These requirements can only be met by using a well-thought-out assembly scheme, precise equipment and a developed quality control system at all stages of the technological process. The paper considers the technology of flap assembly, taking into account design, technological and organisational factors. An analysis of the design and features of transport category flaps has been carried out. One of these features is the high sensitivity of their aerodynamic characteristics to deviations in geometric shape. In this regard, strict requirements for accuracy are imposed on the design and assembly of flaps, which are regulated by design documentation and industry standards. These requirements can only be met by using a well-thought-out assembly scheme, precise equipment and a developed quality control system at all stages of the technological process. Technological requirements provide for strict control of connection parameters: diameter and shape of holes, fastening installation force, absence of gaps and defects. When using adhesives and sealants, the conditions for performing operations are additionally regulated: ambient temperature and humidity, surface preparation, holding time and methods of quality control of joints. The technological requirements for the assembly of transport category aircraft flaps are a set of interrelated conditions and restrictions aimed at ensuring high precision, strength, reliability and reproducibility of the design. The article discusses the preparation for the production of transport category aircraft flaps, which is one of the key stages in the product life cycle and largely determines the quality, labour intensity and economic efficiency of subsequent assembly processes. The system for controlling and ensuring the quality of the assembly of transport category aircraft flaps is considered, which is a multi-level system aimed at preventing defects and ensuring high precision and reliability of the structure. An important direction in the development of flap assembly technology is the introduction of digital technologies, including the use of three-dimensional models, digital twins and virtual assembly process testing systems.
