Abstract

The spatiotemporal characteristics of the long jump technique are one of the key factors determining the effectiveness of the competitive activity of female athletes at the stage of preparation for higher achievements. They reflect the parameters of movements in space and time and characterize the structure of the jump execution, the relationship between its individual phases and the level of technical skill of the athlete. The paper presents a comparative analysis of the individual spatiotemporal characteristics of the long jump technique of female track and field athletes at the stage of preparation for higher achievements. The following research methods were used in the work: theoretical analysis and generalization of empirical data, pedagogical observation, instrumental methods (video analysis); methods of mathematical statistics (correlation analysis). 9 long famale-jumpers participated in the study: three athletes - I category, three - CMSU and three – MSU, aged 18-21 years. It was found that almost all athletes have a wave-like dynamics of the length of the last steps of the run (with the exception of two jumpers). According to the results of video analysis, it was found that the highest speed indicators are characterized by jumpers of the highest qualification level (competition prize-winners), which emphasizes the importance of speed indicators for sports results. The athletes have found quite high indicators of the duration of the push-off, which is associated with the high level of qualification of long jumpers. The athletes showed quite high indicators of the duration of the push-off, which is associated with a high level of qualification in long jumpers. The dynamics of the duration of the flight period shows us that all finalists have the longest flight on the penultimate step. And the shortest flight period was found on the last step before push-off, which actually indicates acceleration and reaching peak speed. The results of the correlation analysis showed that among the indicators of technical preparedness, the most informative, which have an average and high degree of correlation with the sports result, are: the indicator of the average speed of the last 2 steps of the run-up (r=0.80), the duration of the push-off on the bar (r=0.75), as well as the indicator of the length of the 2nd penultimate step of the run-up (r=0.76).
