Abstract
The article examines the features of strength fitness application in the training system of pankration athletes. The relevance of the study is determined by increasing demands on the physical fitness level of martial arts athletes and the need to implement modern training technologies capable of ensuring comprehensive development of physical qualities and improving training effectiveness. The aim of the study is to theoretically substantiate and characterize modern fitness technologies, determine their advantages in developing the physical qualities of pankration athletes, and explore the possibilities of integrating them into the training process. The research employed methods of analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature on the physical preparation of athletes in martial arts. Based on the review of scientific sources, the significance of strength fitness as an essential component of modern sports training systems was established. It was found that strength training contributes to the development of maximal strength, speed-strength abilities, endurance, motor coordination, and the functional capabilities of athletes’ bodies. The article outlines the main principles of applying strength fitness in pankration training, including individualization of the training process, progressive overload, comprehensive training influence, rational recovery, and adherence to correct exercise technique. It is determined that following these principles ensures effective development of physical qualities, enhances athletes’ performance, and reduces the risk of injuries. The main advantages of using strength fitness in the training process of pankration athletes are analyzed, including strengthening of the musculoskeletal system, improvement of strength, endurance, and agility, refinement of technical skills, and enhancement of psychological resilience. At the same time, possible limitations of strength training are highlighted, associated with the risk of overtraining, musculoskeletal overload, and the need for individualized training loads. It is concluded that rational use of strength fitness within the structure of pankration athletes’ training contributes to comprehensive improvement of their physical fitness, enhancement of functional capacities, and greater effectiveness in competitive performance.
