Abstract

<jats:p>The experience of foreign basketball and football academies, reports and publications of leading scientists in sports psychology, confirm the fact that there is a modern trend to prioritize the formation of a player's personality through awareness of his purpose in sports, rather than simply achieving an increase in the level of competitive activity. However, the development of the structure of integrated training of basketball players aged 16-20 in super league teams based on modern approaches to science, practice and sports psychology remains insufficiently studied. The purpose of the study is to scientifically substantiate the structure and content of integrated training of basketball players aged 16-20 in super league teams based on modern approaches to science, practice and sports psychology. Research methods: method of analysis and generalization of literary sources; systemic method. Research results. The development was based on: modern trends in training and competitive activity in sports games and basketball in particular; the emergence of new training tools in team sports games; tasks of the stage of preparation for higher achievements; age characteristics; survey results; factors of unsuccessful adaptation of basketball players during the transition from children's and youth sports to sports of higher achievements; modern trends in sports psychology - the priority of the formation of the player's personality, in comparison with his sports achievements, etc. Conclusions. Substantiation of the structure of integrated training of basketball players aged 16-20 in superleague teams based on five modern approaches of science, practice and sports psychology: individual, differentiated, personal-activity, team-activity and synergistic will allow to form a system of organization of training and extra-training forms, means and methods of training in accordance with each of the approaches to improve the adaptation of young basketball players aged 16-20, who play for superleague teams for the first-third year.</jats:p>
