Abstract
The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of quality characteristics of agro-industrial products on their price competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets during the war and post-war periods (2024–2025). The study substantiates that the global agri-food system has shifted toward a model where quality, safety, and traceability of origin are the key determinants of market success. It is established that, for Ukraine, the agricultural sector remains a strategic foundation of the economy, providing approximately $ 22.5 billion in export revenue (56.1% of all foreign exchange inflows) by the end of 2025. The methodology for calculating the integral indicator of competitiveness is analyzed, which for Ukrainian enterprises in 2024 fluctuated between 0,85 and 1,1. It was found that the high quality of raw materials is often offset by excessive logistics costs and a "price gap" (a discount of up to 20–30% compared to world prices). Attention is paid to the economic efficiency of international certification (specifically GLOBALG.A.P. IFA v6), the implementation of which allows producers to obtain a price premium of 15–25%, which is critical amidst a rapid increase in production costs. Specifically, in 2025, a "price-cost squeeze" was recorded due to increases of 30% in fertilizer prices, 22% in crop protection products, and 15% in seeds. The article identifies strategic goals for the industry's development by 2026, including the transition to the AgTech 2.0 model (automation and AI to address labor shortages), the scaling of "green" processing and bioenergy, and full digital integration into EU logistics corridors. It is proven that increasing the share of high-value-added products in exports to 20%+ and developing deep processing are the only ways to ensure the state's macroeconomic stability.
