Abstract
The article examines the organizational and logistical aspects of international road freight transportation in the context of globalization, increasing regulatory requirements, and the growing complexity of customs procedures. The relevance of the study is substantiated by the need to apply an integrated logistics approach to managing international transport flows in order to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the reliability of deliveries. It is determined that modern international transportation requires coordinated interaction of transport, customs, and information processes within a single logistics system. The study analyzes scientific approaches of domestic and foreign researchers to the organization of international road transport, logistics system management, and economic efficiency. Particular attention is paid to the need for overcoming the fragmentation of managerial decisions and strengthening the integration of logistics processes. It is established that insufficient coordination of logistics operations, inefficient route planning, and increasing transportation risks negatively affect the overall performance of transport enterprises. A practical example of organizing international timber transportation along the route Vinnytsia (Ukraine) – Miskolc (Hungary) with an intermediate logistics stage in Uzhhorod is considered. The route parameters, vehicle selection, driver work schedule, and delivery duration are analyzed, taking into account European regulatory requirements. The feasibility of using a specialized timber truck equipped with a hydraulic manipulator is substantiated due to its efficiency, safety, and compliance with international standards. An economic evaluation of transportation efficiency is carried out. The results confirm the profitability of the proposed logistics scheme, demonstrating that the implementation of a comprehensive approach to organizing international transportation contributes to cost optimization and improved operational performance. It is proved that effective logistics management enhances the competitiveness of freight forwarding enterprises and creates conditions for their sustainable development in the international market.
