Abstract
The article examines the issue of personnel motivation as one of the key factors in the effective functioning of enterprises in the food industry of Ukraine and an important prerequisite for ensuring the security of their activities. It is emphasized that modern business conditions are characterized by high requirements for product quality, compliance with sanitary and environmental standards, as well as significant competition in both domestic and foreign markets. Under such conditions, ensuring the stable development of enterprises is possible only with the presence of coordinated motivational mechanisms that take into account the needs, interests, and expectations of different categories of personnel. It is highlighted that the absence of an effective motivation system leads to employee demotivation, which in turn increases threats and risks to enterprise activities and may negatively affect its stability and further functioning. Scientific approaches to the study of personnel motivation presented in the works of domestic and foreign scholars are analyzed. At the same time, it is noted that under the conditions of the full-scale war, the attitude of personnel toward work has significantly changed, which actualizes the need to search for new approaches to employee motivation and to achieve target performance indicators of enterprises in various sectors of the economy. The essence of ensuring enterprise activity security is revealed as a set of measures aimed at providing economic and financial, technical, environmental, and sanitary-hygienic security. It is substantiated that different groups of personnel—managers, specialists, and workers—have different motivational priorities, which is determined by different levels of responsibility, working conditions, and socio-economic characteristics. A model for combining personnel motivation and ensuring the security of enterprise activities is proposed. It is based on the use of twelve variables that characterize the material and non-material benefits employees expect from providing their intellectual capital to the enterprise. The application of these variables makes it possible to assess the effectiveness of the personnel motivation mechanism and to form appropriate managerial decisions aimed at increasing the level of enterprise activity security.
