Abstract
<jats:p>В статье, на основе архивных и опубликованных церковных источников раскрываются основные вехи в жизни и служении архиепископа Илария (Ильина). Произведен краткий обзор его служения со Святейшим Патриархом Сергием (Страгородским). Рассматривается деятельность преосвященного архиепископа Илария на Чебоксарской кафедре, который руководил епархией в период с 1946 по 1951 годы. Также уделено внимание его взаимодействию с уполномоченным Совета по делам Русской Православной Церкви в Чувашской АССР. Это был первый архиерей ново учрежденной самостоятельной Чебоксарско-Чувашской епархии, на долю которого выпал жребий организовать и обустроить церковную жизнь, оказавшейся в новых реалиях Советской Чувашии, во второй половине 40-х гг. ХХ столетия.</jats:p> <jats:p>Based on archival and published church sources, the article reveals the main milestones in the life and ministry of Archbishop Hilary (Ilyin). A brief overview of his ministry with His Holiness Patriarch Sergius (Stragorodsky) is given. The article examines the activities of His Grace Archbishop Hilary at the Cheboksary department, who led the diocese in the period from 1946 to 1951. Attention is also paid to his interaction with the commissioner of the Council for the Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Chuvash ASSR. He was the first bishop of the newly established independent Cheboksary-Chuvash diocese, who had the lot to organize and organize church life in the new realities of Soviet Chuvashia in the second half of the 40s of the twentieth century.</jats:p>
