Abstract
Higher education institutions are focused on universal learning technologies, which are often inappropriate for the individual learning strategies of students. They do not take into account that each person individually perceives and processes information, cognises the surrounding environment depending on their dominant representative system and modality of mental experience. That is why the individualisation of learning is key to the reform processes of the modern higher education system in Ukraine. The article highlights the problem of individualisation of the educational process in higher education institutions (HEIs) through digital technologies and outlines the opportunities and challenges in its implementation. The authors conducted a content analysis of the concepts of ‘individualisation’, “personalisation”, ‘differentiation of learning’, ‘individual educational trajectory’, etc. The features of IET in modern HEIs are highlighted, and modern digital technologies, which are a key tool in the implementation of IET, are analysed. Scientists have established that digital technologies are a powerful tool for implementing individualized learning, ensuring flexibility, variability, and adaptability of students' educational trajectories. It has been proven that the use of LMS, adaptive and intelligent learning systems, and digital resources for personalised learning contributes to improving the quality of education and developing the autonomy, motivation and responsibility of higher education students. It has been found that the effectiveness of digital individualisation depends on the availability of appropriate pedagogical conditions, the level of teacher training and institutional support for digital educational changes. The prospects for further scientific research related to the study of mechanisms for integrating digital technologies into the process of forming individual educational trajectories in higher education institutions are outlined.
