Abstract
<jats:p>Landscape architecture is a complex synthetic activity related to various fields of human knowledge. One of the most important areas of study for future landscape architects is the history of landscape art. Also, mastering this specialty requires in-depth knowledge in the field of art history. Both directions are interconnected. When studying certain sections of the history of landscape art, it is advisable to integrate them with relevant materials from the general history of art. In this paper, the following methodological approach is proposed: the study of the biography and creative heritage of artists known for their work in the field of landscape design and other types of art. It is proposed to study the life and creative history of Raphael Santi, Giacomo da Vignola, William Kent, Hubert Robert.</jats:p>
