<jats:p>The author examines current economic and legal aspects of concluding and executing independent contractor agreements; conducts a theoretical analysis of expert opinions regarding the essence of an independent contractor agreement. The concept of «independent contractor agreement» is clarified. The general features and specific characteristics of different types of independent contractor agreement and outlines future research prospects are formulated.</jats:p>
