Abstract
<jats:p>The chapter discusses the concept of a systematic analysis of social development, which acts as a unifying platform for various methodological approaches. The civilizational and formational development takes place within the framework of the historically formed geopolitical space. Culture is the spiritual basis, and geopolitics is the territorial and spatial foundation that forms ethnic groups and feeds them with its landscape energy. The cultural and historical traditions of any nation are complemented by ethnic history, traditions, and corresponding civilizational patterns of behavior. As a result, a real dynamics of the civilizational process is being formed, based on the ethnic, formational, civilizational and geopolitical dynamics of social development.</jats:p>
