Tasks to accelerate the modernization of the Russian military-industrial complex in the conditions of the SMO: the use of foreign practices and the synthesis of opportunities

<jats:p>The chapter addresses the challenges of modernization and diversification of the Russian defense-industrial complex amid current geopolitical challenges and sanctions. It analyzes major domestic issues, including the need for innovative development, structural sectoral reforms, and critical vulnerabilities revealed through comparison with Western and Asian strategic competitors. Special attention is given to cooperation with BRICS and Eurasian partners, the development of new technologies, and the creation of flexible production chains. The chapter presents prospects for economic recovery and strengthening national security in the context of global transformations and international competition.</jats:p>
