Abstract
This article discusses the issues of current problems of the theory and methodology of physical education. In the practice of physical education and sports, physical activity is regulated by volume and intensity (which are characterized to a certain extent by a reverse proportional dependence). In the regulation of physical activity, knowledge of the body's reactions in response to physical exercises of various degrees of intensity and volume is important. The load can be assessed from the pedagogical side (the degree of solving pedagogical tasks, its volume, intensity, etc.), from physiological, biochemical positions. The physiological assessment of physical activity can be carried out according to the pulse rate of students and students measured during physical exercise. There are various modern instrumental methods for registering pulse rate or heart rate.In physical education classes and training classes in secondary and higher education institutions, any of the following methods is used to assess the physical activity of pupils, students and cadets: palpatory method of measuring pulse rate and counting heart rate (HR) using a phonendoscope (the bell of the phonendoscope is applied to the person's body over clothing in the area of the projection of the apex of the heart). For self-control, the palpatory method of counting pulse rate is usually used.In a training interval or repeated task, the volume of the load is determined by its intensity and is limited by the time range of the prevalence of energy supply mechanisms of a particular load, the duration of the pause is determined by the intensity of the load being performed, the degree of recovery of the leading physiological systems.
