Abstract

A picturebook book is a space where the first encounter with literature and art takes place and, at the same time, a unique object through which we learn verbal and visual codes, language acquisition and empathy. The mechanism of its functioning is highlighted by analyzes which are presented in this collective publication. The authors’ ambition was to obviate the odium attached to the research methodology, widely perceived as something difficult and incomprehensible and thus showing scientific instruments as necessary, practical and important.
